Principal Architect focuses on motivating the top 20 percent of the workforce

Burch says most businesses can break down its workforce into the 80/20 percent range – 20 percent are the top employees who outperform the 80 percent. To achieve the best business results, learn how to hire and manage the 20 percent because they are hungry, smart and intrinsically motivated, she says.

Country girl turned entrepreneur, Burch is a 20 percenter herself. She once hauled hay and worked multiple part-time jobs as a teen prior to founding her boutique firm. Now she is a published author, and her firm’s work has been recognized by the United States Green Building Council.
Burch participated in TED, which started as a four-day conference in California 30 years ago and has grown to support its mission with multiple initiatives.
